Here’s the one thing that’s keeping people from seeing you as a thought leader: You’re not talking about your impact. You’re doing the work — but if you’re not connecting it to real outcomes, people won’t understand the value you bring. Here are 3 quick ways to show up and speak to your value: ✅ Lead with outcomes (i.e. the impact). Don’t just say what you did — share what changed because of it. What problem did you solve? What got better? Be sure to say why it mattered. Frame your contributions around outcomes, growth, or transformation. ✅ Be specific — and tie it to the bigger picture. Vague statements won’t stick. Instead of “I supported a project,” say “I led onboarding for 3 cross-functional partners that helped launch our campaign 2 weeks early.” When you tie your actions to a business result, it tells a much stronger story. ✅ Share the process and speak up regularly. You don’t have to wait for a perfect win. Share lessons learned, trends you're seeing, or insights from your work. Help others grow by sharing what you’ve already learned. 💬 How have you reframed your work to focus on wins and results? Here are 3 quick tips to help you ask for feedback with more confidence: 🔹 Be proactive: Don’t wait for someone to offer feedback — ask for it directly. Owning the conversation shows initiative and a growth mindset. 🔹 Ask while it’s fresh: The best time to get feedback is right after the moment you want to learn from — whether that’s a presentation, project, or meeting.
