Military vessels representing 20 different countries gathered around the USS Nimitz off the coast this week.
Military vessels representing 20 different countries gathered around the USS Nimitz (CVN-68) off the coast in the area of Virginia and North Carolina as part of Fleet Exercise 250 on Thursday, June 25, 2026 for a photo exercise with a flyover consisting of aircraft from the U.S. and Spain.
Fleet Exercise 250 is a multinational maritime exercise intended to strengthen interoperability among allied and partner nations through professional exchange, coordinated maritime operations, communication training, information sharing and at-sea
maneuvers, according to the U.S. Navy.
Vice Admiral Doug Perry, Commander for U.S. Second Fleet and NATO’s Joint Force Command, also traveled out to the Nimitz from Norfolk for the day to meet with numerous sailors working in different areas aboard the ship.
