Fix issues with valid emails in Spam

After you unblock a sender, their emails should no longer be sent to Spam. If their emails continue to go to Spam, try these steps.

Remove the email from Spam

After you remove the email, future emails from that sender won’t go to Spam.

  1. On your computer, open Gmail.
  2. On the left, in the main menu, click More and then Spam.
  3. Check the box next to the email that you want to remove.
  4. At the top, click Not spam.

Add the sender to your contacts

When you add the sender to Google Contacts, their emails won’t go to Spam.

  1. On your computer, go to Google Contacts.
  2. At the top left, click Create contact and then Create a contact or Create multiple contacts.
  3. Enter the contact’s or contacts’ information.
  4. Click Save.

Create a filter for your sender

You can create a filter so a specific sender’s emails never go to Spam.

  1. On your computer, open Gmail.
  2. At the top, in the search bar, click Show search options photos tune.
  3. Next to “From,” enter the sender’s email address.
    • If you want to check that your search works correctly, click Search.
  4. At the bottom of the search window, click Create filter.
  5. Next to “Never send it to Spam,” check the box.
  6. Click Create filter.
