I am supportive of all these independent plays, but given the ninety-seven layers of coordination-without-coordinating it requires to pay off I really think it would be simpler to just broaden the tent and bring back Democrats with Baucus/Landrieu/Nelson-style ideologies.

The new Democratic strategy could be...not running a Democrat?

I don’t see the Democrats returning to moderation any more than the Republicans. The gerrymandering has created the primary election dominance that has made the parties more extreme. It’s time for independent moderates.

Republican extremism, which we are living under is fascism and masked men killing random people in the streets. Democratic "extremism" is healthcare for everyone. You are choosing to be this stupid.
