This weekend Ireland's bad bank closes its doors for the final time. Amid huge controversy and public protests, NAMA was born in late 2009 at the height of the financial collapse, writes Economics and Public Affairs Editor David Murphy
- The bad bank that created the worse housing crisis the country has ever seen. Selling our real estate potential to vulture funds. And they are clapping themselves on the back for a job well done.
- Shouldn’t RTE do the same thing? Since you’ve collapsed financially and lost the trust of the public?
- Even though NAMA was totally funded by the taxpayer. They sold apartment blocks to corporates rather than split up the units and sold them to individuals. Good riddance
