This week we lost my Mum, aged 91yrs. She came to London 70yrs ago, met my Dad working on the buses. She always said never run after a man or a bus as there’s another one after this one!

Very pleased to have been reappointed as Minister of State in the Department of Health. I look forward to continuing the work of rebuilding our NHS to make it fit for the future.

Thanks to Labour colleagues and Opposition for work over recent weeks in Committee scrutiny for the NHS Modernisation Bill. Pleased to have completed this evening as Parliament rises for the summer recess.
