As the top Democrat on the Senate Aging Committee, I released a report detailing Trump's attacks on older Americans, ranging from his cuts to Medicaid, rollback of safe staffing at nursing homes, to his attempt to dismantle the agency that helps protect seniors from scams.
We cannot allow this administration to destroy the programs and services that help our seniors age with dignity.

There has been little if any attention paid to the Trump war on nursing homes and seniors. The cuts in Medicaid that will be brutal next year will be devastating; nursing home care is the largest part of Medicaid. Many seniors will be forced out; many nursing homes will close. 1
