Nicaraguan President Daniel Ortega recently stated that when the country’s next elections take place, none who promoted a violent US-backed coup in 2018 will be allowed to stand for office
The pledge was spun by US media outlets as a total ban on voting
US media apparently confused the similarity in names between Nicaragua and Ukraine.
And you know what, thats fair. You cant run a country if the people campaigning for office are walking puppets just waiting to further sell away your sovereignty.
I don’t think the US overthrew any country more times than it did Nicaragua. How many times did the US overthrow it?
