For those who have never witnessed this ritual of humiliating the slaves of Morocco's little king: these are the Black slaves that the Moroccan monarch still owns to this day.
They were used by Morocco's rulers to kill Arabs and Berbers, and they were kept inbred to make them feel surrounded by enemies—both Arabs and Berbers within Morocco—so that they would remain loyal to the throne.
This is known as the Allegiance Ceremony, during which these slaves and high-ranking officials bow before the king himself, a descendant of the slave concubines of his ancestors.
This ceremony was actually reinforced by the French colonial administration, and today France is renewing its protection by signing a new treaty that will once again make Morocco a vassal state, just as it has been since 1912.
