It’s very hard to live in NY because of the really high tax rates and cost of living. Every week, for example, @nytimes metro section runs a piece on how families are managing to get by, and often they are a two income couple with earnings that just a decade or two ago would be considered very high. Yet they are struggling. I live in a city run by tax and spend socialist/communists. The high taxes combined with escalating cost of living for everyone is making life really hard. Instead of addressing this affordability crisis by lowering taxes, they want to extract more and more from working people and giving them less and less. They are even reducing housing for working people ( scatter site programs that take housing off the market) , eliminating street parking, and making it harder for immigrants to make a living ( government grocery stores and seizure of rental properties). So here we have a common sense Congressman, @lawler4ny , who fought for a sensible fix for tax burdened working New Yorkers. While I personally was not able to take advantage of the SALT cap change, millions of hard working New Yorkers had significant relief from NY’s onerous tax system because of Congressman Lawler’s advocacy and work. It’s so easy to point fingers and name call in a deeply polarized country, but the fact of the matter is working people do better when there are two parties representing our interests. I would even venture to say that had Congressman Lawler not been such a strong advocate for hard working New Yorkers, the tax flight from our State would have been even worse. I have reached a point in my political views that I vote people and platform not party. I am not going to be a useful idiot for either side. In NY the Dem party is a massive unregulated monopoly with tons of people making a fortune off the suffering of others. NGO’s, consultants, politicians, are all profiting from the monopoly power created by one party rule. We spend upwards of 80K per person per year on the homeless industrial complex, for example, and still we have people with mental illness and drug addiction not getting the help they need, roaming our streets, strung out or in a rage, and sometimes causing harm to others ( subway pushing). Our schools are in shambles because of mismanagement , graduating children who can’t read, write or do math at grade level, and we are blasted with hateful rhetoric against certain groups on a daily basis. Believe me, life in NYC has taken a terrible turn. For all these reasons and more, I fully endorse and support Congressman Lawler for re-election. I hope everyone spreads the word to vote for him and support him. We need this representation for our State in Congress. We cannot rely on @GovKathyHochul , @RepJeffries or any Dem to hold back the communists, because at this point they have a gun to the head of every incumbent Dem. Look at how they want after @RepDanGoldman @EspaillatR22007 and how @ReynosoBrooklyn got creamed by a commie. Deep blue NY must move purple . It is to the voters, especially the Dems, to make it so. @OneCityRisingNY @stick_dynamite @Megmd514 @LizzySavetsky @billmaher @LittleAfricaUS @YiatinforNY

Hey @CaitforNewYork, you’re embarrassing yourself. Whoever is feeding you this crap should be fired. It’s clear they, and you, don’t actually understand this. Simply put, if the tax bill expired as you advocated for, it would have led to the largest tax increase in American

The police also don’t show up when mentally disturbed homeless people are threatening people because they’ve been told not to or are stretched too thin. Their plan is to make the city unlivable & expensive for even wealthy or business owners to stay in. Take their cars away by

Lowering federal, state & city tax would be a huge help. But this will never happen… because government spending only goes up. Electeds wann give themselves raises! I want to cry every time I look at my measly net paycheck after SS, taxes, insurance premiums are taken out. 😓🫩

Honestly vote straight R in NY at this point, at least it will see some R’s get elected and make NY slightly less blue . Absolute power corrupts absolutely and NY badly needs some political counter balance to restore sanity to NY/NYC
