    No Indian law requires authorities to assess how arms exported to Israel could be used in gross human rights violations. And this has led to India supplying arms to Israel despite risk they could be used in its ongoing genocide against Palestinians in the occupied Gaza Strip.

    Pranab Doley was granted bail on July 29 in a case arising from protests near a proposed hotel project in an ecologically sensitive area in Assam. The very next day, the Assam government invoked the NSA to detain him.
