Despite being eliminated from Ivy League Tournament contention, Harvard baseball closed its season with its best stretch of the year, sweeping Princeton across a Saturday doubleheader and a Sunday finale. The Crimson outscored the Tigers 28-14 over three games, recording 38 hits and getting strong starts across the series.

Shulman Walks Off Opener, Harvard Splits Doubleheader with Brown

Harvard’s baseball team traveled to New York, N.Y., this past weekend to face the defending Ivy League Champions, the Columbia Lions, in a three-game series. While it took a series loss, the Crimson picked up a pivotal opening win against the same team that knocked it out of the conference tournament last May.

The Harvard baseball team will have to wait another week for a chance to claim its first win of the year, as Liberty swept the Crimson with flair this past weekend. The Flames captured two big wins to start the series and ended it with a dynamic walk-off double in Sunday’s game to hand Harvard its third straight series sweep.
Baseball Falters at Rice, Falls to 0-6 on the Season
Harvard baseball remained on the road for its second weekend, but the Crimson got swept by Rice in a three-game series at Reckling Park. Harvard flashed potential, with a late rally in Friday’s opener and six shutout innings from sophomore pitcher Luca Alagheband in Saturday’s tight contest. However, the team failed to put together a complete performance and scratch a game into the win column.
