Requirements
  • Optimizely Content Management System (CMS) SaaS

What is it?

Sometimes a few extreme data points can skew your experiment results. Outlier Management helps you keep those values in check with two methods—winsorization and metric capping. By smoothing out the noise, your results become clearer, more reliable, and more likely to reach statistical significance.

What is it?

Test Ideation generates high-quality A/B test ideas based on Optimizely's industry-leading expertise that you can take action on. The latest version provides even more impactful ideas that are informed by 3rd party analytics data - GA4, Quantum Metric, Contentsquare, and Fullstory. This provides customers data-backed ideas to test on the biggest opportunities that are based on actual behavioral data.

Requirements
  • Mark (previously known as Opal) Agent Platform
  • Web or Feature Experimentation

What is it?

Autonomous Optimization is how Optimizely powers self-improving digital experiences. Teams set the page or journey, business goal, and guardrails, and Mark AI continuously identifies opportunities, creates variations, launches experiences, learns from performance, and optimizes toward the outcome. The goal is to help customers convert more visitors and grow revenue without manually restarting every optimization cycle.

Requirements
  • Web Experimentation + Agent Platform

What is it?

WebMCP lets your site publish typed actions, like search-products or start-return, that an AI agent can call directly instead of clicking through your interface and hoping it worked. Point Opal at your hostname. It crawls your pages, comes back with a list of actions it thinks are worth publishing, writes the code for the ones you pick, and tests each one against the live site. You approve what ships. It goes out through the Web Experimentation snippet you already run.

Why it matters

Agents are already on your site, working the hard way: reading the page, guessing which controls matter, clicking, then checking whether anything happened. Rename a button and the journey breaks. Publishing the action instead means the agent calls a function you wrote and gets a structured result back, so a demo request that works today still works after your next redesign. You do not rebuild anything to get there, and the code ships through the snippet you already have.

Requirements

  • Optimizely Opal
  • Web Experimentation
  • A publicly reachable website you can publish changes to
  • Time to review your first runs with our product team

What is it?

Resource Management gives marketing leaders a real-time, people-first view of team capacity and workload — so they can assign work smarter, catch overloads before they happen, and keep content moving without the guesswork.

  • Content Marketing Platform (CMP)

What is it?

Feature Rollouts are a new rule type that combines the simplicity of Targeted Delivery with the measurement power of an A/B test. Roll out a single variation progressively — 10%, 25%, 50%, 100% — while tracking impressions, conversions, and business metrics at every stage. Get full impact analytics and metric tracking for feature releases that aren't designed as experiments.

Requirements
  • Feature Experimentation

what is it?

Markdown for Agents lets AI agents receive a clean markdown version of web pages instead of full HTML at the edge.

Why it matters

Traditionally, web pages are sent as HTML — which is fine for browsers — but AI agents find HTML noisy and inefficient. Adding markdown reduces noise, making AI ingestion faster, cheaper, and more accurate (while keeping the site experience for humans unchanged). This can improve how AI answer engines discover, understand, and reference your content, as a result.

Requirements

  • CMS 12 or CMS 13 (not applicable on SaaS CMS)

What is it?

Flag Triggers connect your flags to real-world signals — an error rate spike in New Relic, an alert firing in Datadog — so Optimizely can respond automatically instead of waiting for someone to notice and step in. Set up a trigger once, and when the alert fires, your flag can be turned off, cutting the time between "something's wrong" and "it's handled." It's a safety net for production releases, built right into the flag itself.

Requirements
  • Feature Experimentation

What is it?

See exactly how a flag has changed over time, compare any two versions side by side, and restore a prior configuration with a single click. When a bad targeting rule or unexpected rollout causes problems, skip the manual reconstruction — find the last known-good version and roll back instantly. Every change is captured with who made it and when, giving you a complete audit trail for every flag.

Requirements
  • Feature Experimentation

What is it?

Catch broken experiments before they go live. Your QA agent runs checks on the experiment configuration, the page and the plan it was built on.

What is it?

We've redesigned the experiment results experience from the ground up. The new Results Page brings a cleaner, more intuitive interface together with a significantly expanded analytics feature set — so your team can move from data to decision faster.

The new page includes:

  • CUPED – reduce result variance using pre-experiment data, reaching significance faster with less traffic
  • Winsorization & metric capping – control the impact of extreme outliers for more stable, reliable results
  • Frequentist and Bayesian stats engines – choose the statistical framework that fits your team's methodology, or compare both
  • Guardrail alerts – get notified when a variation moves a key business metric outside safe limits, before you ship
  • Improved segmentation – drill into results by audience segment with greater flexibility and depth
  • Improved reporting – cleaner visualisations, richer context around statistical confidence, and easier sharing across your team

Requirements

  • Web Experimentation or Feature Experimentation
  • OptiID

What is it?

The Bayesian Stats Engine allows you to continuously integrate new data, updating your results as the experiment runs. Perfect for teams that need to move fast, this engine simplifies complex data into clear, actionable probabilities, like knowing there’s a 95% chance Variant B is your winner, so you can ship with confidence and move to the next win.

Requirements
  • Feature Experimentation and Optimizely Analytics

What is it?

Plan and analyze your A/B tests using a traditional frequentist fixed horizon approach, designed for experiments that run to a set sample size or time frame. It provides clear, reliable results once your experiment reaches its planned horizon—giving you confidence in decision-making without the need for ongoing monitoring.

Requirements

  • Optimizely Analytics and Feature Experimentation

What is it?

The new Visual Editor allows you to use pre-built, re-usable templates like countdown timers, banners with buttons, exit intent pop-ups, image pop-ups, tooltip with icons, and more. You can also build your own experience templates and re-use them for any experiment.

Requirements
  • Web Experimentation
  • Personalization
  • New visual editor (accessible via 'variations live' button on the variations page)

What is it

Conditional activation in the new visual editor lets you define exactly when to activate a test or personalized experience—without code.
