One week ago today we
had the story about a possible release date for
The Atom Ant Show - The Complete Series on DVD, a title which the Warner Archive had told us this past summer was being prepared for their manufacture on demand (MOD) program. At the time we passed along an October 20th date for the item, which came from wholesaler Ingram Entertainment-produced website VideoETA (a site temporarily offline "
to address technical issues," they say).
Now it appears that the folks at Amazon.com have come up with a new release date for this title. The studio's own online store, WBshop.com, is NOT listing this item just yet, but -
as Amazon shows -
Atom Ant is now apparently moved up to be released this coming Tuesday,
October 6th..a date which Warner Archive confirms on their Twitter feed. MOD distributor Allied Vaughn has also provided a sharper, high-resolution image for the cover art, which you can see just below. And below that we've also got a look at the open box, captured from Warner's "unboxing" video for the title!
UPDATE (10/1): The WBshop.com studio website has now added a pre-order listing for this title, and at the time of this writing is discounting the cost to $28.39 (cheaper than Amazon!). You can buy it through them via the button link we've added immediately below, over the cover art:
