THE BASIC LIFE SUPPORT PROGRAM AT UCLA

ABOUT US

The Basic Life Support Program at UCLA was founded by alumnus Takashi Hirase in 2012 as a subprogram of the pre-health honors society Alpha Epsilon Delta (AED).

Since then, the program has specialized in instructing Basic Life Support (BLS) through the American Heart Association (AHA) under the CPR Hero Training Center.
All instructors have gone through rigorous training by The CPR Hero under strict AHA Instructor Training guidelines.

Our mission is to empower the community by providing high quality education on how to take action in emergency situations.

PROJECT CARE

WHAT IS PROJECT CARE?

Project CPR and Rescue Empowerment, Project CARE, empowers individuals in our community with basic knowledge on how to perform CPR and First Aid through free workshops and demonstrations.

Project CARE strives to spread this knowledge and ensure that as many people as possible are aware of these techniques and can act in light of an emergency.

AED BLS x PROJECT CARE

Our proceeds and profits that we raise through your participation in our program are used to fund our sister program, Project CARE, to fund community outreach and health education events. To all of our past and future students: thank you for contributing!
