Veer was living with fear and pain every single day. When @WildlifeSOS rescued him, they found arthritis, chronic joint degeneration in his right front leg, and severely damaged footpads, each one a reminder of years of exploitation. Elephants were never meant to live like this. They belong in forests, walking across soft earth, making their own choices, surrounded by their families, not on busy roads carrying people or heavy loads. Veer's recovery is still ongoing, but every day he grows a little stronger. Every comfortable step and every peaceful moment reminds us that with the right care, even a body that has endured so much can begin to heal. Veer is now safe at their Elephant Hospital Campus in Mathura, Uttar Pradesh, where he continues to receive the long-term specialised care he deserves. ❤️‍🩹 🎦 Credit: Wildlife SOS 🐘.
