FINAL: Yankees 9, Red Sox 2 New York sweeps Boston in dominant fashion and heads to the division series against top-seeded Tampa Bay. Every starter registered a hit. Cody Bellinger socked a three-run home run. The Yankees did just about everything well. The Red Sox … did not.

The Yankees are embarrassing the Red Sox. It is 8-1 after a three-run homer from Cody Bellinger. They have now outscored them 17-1. This series is over.

The Boston Red Sox have not scored a run in their last 26 postseason innings. In that time, which dates back to Game 2 of the 2025 wild card series, they are hitting .136/.183/.148 with one extra-base hit in 88 at-bats. The Yankees have shut them out through five again tonight.

FINAL: White Sox 7, Astros 3 One day after receiving a letter from Pope Leo XIV offering "abundant blessings," the Chicago White Sox have won a playoff series for the first time in more than two decades. They went to Houston and absolutely ran the Astros. Cleveland awaits next.
