Delete your Play Games data or Play Games profile

You can delete Play Games data from your Google account for one or all games you’ve played, or delete your Play Games profile by following the instructions below.

Delete Play Games data for a specific game

You can delete Play Games data from your Google account for one or all games you’ve played. If you delete data for a game, you might also delete any in-game achievements or progress, depending on how the developer has built the game.

When you delete Play Games data from your account, it won't delete data collected by the game developer. Learn how to remove a game’s access to your Google Account.

Through Web:

  1. On your browser, go to https://play.google.com/games/profile.
  2. Click Your Data and then Delete Play Games Account & Data.
  3. Under "Delete individual game data," find the game that you want to remove.
  4. Click Delete.

Through Play Store:

  1. Open the Google Play Store app Google Play.
  2. At the top right, tap your Profile icon.
  3. Tap Settings and then General and then Play Games Profile.
  4. Tap Privacy & Settings.

Delete your Play Games profile and all Play Games data

If you delete your Play Games profile, all of your Play Games information will be deleted from your Google Account, your gamer name will become available to other users, your followers, anyone you follow, and gaming stats associated with your profile will be deleted. Depending on how developers built the games you've downloaded, deleting your Play Games profile may also delete your in-game achievements or progress, experience points and scores on leaderboards. To learn more about managing your in-game achievements or progress, you can contact the game developer.

If you delete your Play Games profile, you may also not be able to access certain services if they require an active Play Games profile, such as Google Play Games on PC.

Through Play Store:

  1. Open the Google Play Store app Google Play.
  2. At the top right, tap your Profile icon.
  3. Tap Settings and then General and then Play Games Profile.
  4. Tap Privacy & Settings.
  5. Under “Your Data,” tap Delete profile & game data.
  6. Under “Delete Play Games profile and all data,” tap Permanently Delete.

Important: Your Play Games profile collects your gaming activity. That activity is separate from “Web & App Activity” data. Deleting your Play Games profile or specific data from your Play Games profile will not delete data from your “Web & App Activity”. The reverse is also true.

Here’s how to control both:

Google Play Games data:

  • You can delete data for specific games or permanently delete your entire Play Games profile. You can do this in your Play Games profile settings.

  • If you delete data here, it removes it from your Play Games profile. It doesn’t delete it from your Google Account's Web & App Activity.

Web and App Activity data:

  • If you have "Web & App Activity" turned on in your Google Account, it continues to save your game activity and other app or web usage.

  • You can find or delete your Web & App Activity at any time from your My Google Activity page.

  • If you delete activity from My Google Activity, it removes it from your Web & App Activity records.
