🛠️ Can you rethink developer experience in 48 hours? We believe that true innovation happens when ideas meet action — and that’s exactly what unfolded during our internal Hackathon in June 2025. This year’s theme? 🤖 AI-gents of Change: Boosting Code Quality & Developer Experience 🤖 From Gdańsk to Kraków to Warsaw, scientists, engineers, and product leaders joined forces to explore the power of AI agents in solving real-world tech challenges. This was more than a hackathon. It was an experiment in curiosity, ownership, and invention. And a reminder that with the right space to build, every engineer can become an agent of change. Thank you to everyone who hacked, mentored, pitched and prototyped. Let’s keep pushing what’s possible. #Hackathon #Alexa #GenAI #Innovation #Day1 #Ring #SpeechTech #Gdańsk #Kraków #Warszawa #AWS #AmazonScience #InventTheAnswer #HereAtDevices #AI

What do Angry Birds and Netflix have in common? They both owe a big part of their success to the cloud. 💡 In this episode Tomasz Stachlewski shares the story of Rovio — a European gaming company that tried hard for years until it hit gold with Angry Birds. When millions of users suddenly started flinging birds at pigs, Rovio’s success could have collapsed under its own weight — if it weren’t for scalable infrastructure powered by AWS. 🚀 From failed ideas to global hits, this conversation between Tomasz and Maciek Tegi is full of practical insights on: 🔹 Tech-business synergy 🔹 Soft skills that matter in engineering 🔹 What Angry Birds, Netflix and F1 have in common 🔹 How to stay relevant in a cloud-first world 🎧 Full episode now on: ▶️ YouTube (EN subtitles): https://lnkd.in/dd4JzRNk 🎙️ Spotify (PL only): https://lnkd.in/deaX_T_N #AmazonStage #CloudComputing #AWS #BusinessTransformation #Leadership #Scalability #TechPodcast #AmazonDevPL #InventTheAnswer #HereAtDevices #Ring #Alexa #GenAI #AI

How do you build inclusive innovation that starts local — and scales global? You start with people. Their ideas, their communities, and the partnerships that empower them. Last week, we had the honor of joining a special event in Brussels, where the story of Alexa, born in the Pomeranian region of Poland, took the spotlight. Together with representatives from the Pomeranian Voivodeship, City of Gdańsk, European Parliament, and our long-term partners at Stowarzyszenie Cyfrowy Dialog, we explored how public-private-academic cooperation can shape global tech — and create meaningful opportunities close to home. The event brought together inspiring changemakers from across Europe, including H.E. Agnieszka Bartol, Ambassador of Poland to the EU, Magdalena Adamowicz, Member of the European Parliament, Elżbieta Łukacijewska, poseł do Parlamentu Europejskiego, Member of the European Parliament, Mieczysław Struk, Marshal of the Pomeranian Voivodeship, #AleksandraDulkiewicz, Mayor of Gdańsk, Magdalena Czarzyńska - Jachim, Mayor of Sopot. We shared the stage with: James Waterworth – EU Public Policy Director, Amazon Mariusz Mielczarek – Regional Director CEE, Amazon Piotr Szymański – Public Policy Operations Manager PL, Amazon Blanka Fijolek – Employer Branding Program Manager, Amazon Development Center Poland Maciek Tegi – Principal Product Manager, Amazon Development Center Poland Remus Mois – Poland Lead, Amazon @Ring Zuzanna Błażejewska – VP, Cyfrowy Dialog Association Aleksandra Dulska, Łucja Kozłowska, Julia Werbowy – alumni of Girls Do Engineering and leaders from the Pomeranian region and the European Parliament. From supporting AI and speech innovation in Gdańsk, to exciting announcements and mentoring the next generation of female engineers — we’re proud to show what’s possible when you invest in local ecosystems. Huge thanks to everyone who made this event possible. And if you missed it — we’ll be sharing more highlights and the full video soon. Stay tuned! 💡 #AmazonDevPL #Alexa #AmazonScience #GirlsDoEngineering #STEM #TechForGood #Pomorskie #DigitalInclusion #EUinnovation #PublicPrivatePartnerships #FromPolandToTheWorld #InventTheAnswer #HereAtDevices #Alexa #Ring #AmazonDevPL #GenAI #AI

In the latest episode of Amazon Stage, Dariusz Szplit talks with Maciek Tegi about the delicate balance between AI innovation and human empathy in medicine. 🎥 As Dariusz puts it: “We’re moving into a world of technology, but we’re missing human connection. Medicine is both — it’s technology and human contact.” This episode is not about futuristic concepts — it’s about real-world deployments of AI and voice assistants in Polish hospitals, and how these tools can support doctors without replacing what matters most: human care. 🎧 Full conversation now available: ▶️ YouTube (with English subtitles): https://lnkd.in/gy9U8imk 🎙️ Spotify (Polish only): https://lnkd.in/d9cVMPXV #AmazonStage #AIinHealthcare #DigitalHealth #Innovation #HumanCenteredAI #VoiceTech #HealthTech #AmazonDevPL #InventTheAnswer #HereAtDevices #Alexa #Ring #EmpathyInTech #Alexa #Ring #AmazonDevPL #GenAI #AI
