MIP4Adapt Event: Climate, Health and Well-being: Putting Health at the Heart of Climate Adaptation

This event brings together local and regional authorities, public health actors and the Mission Adaptation Community to explore how health considerations can be more systematically embedded in climate adaptation efforts. Through practical examples and peer exchange, participants will discuss how to anticipate climate related health risks, strengthen cross-sector collaboration and support more resilient and healthier communities.

Participants can expect a keynote on why health should be a central dimension of climate adaptation, followed by a city case study showcasing successful collaboration between climate adaptation and public health actors. The session will conclude with interactive breakout discussions focused on:

  1. Communicating climate and health risks to citizens
  2. Reaching vulnerable and hard to reach groups and
  3. Turning climate and health data into action through early warning systems and preparedness measures.

Join to explore practical approaches and connect with peers working to strengthen climate resilience, health and well-being in communities across Europe.

The primary target audience for this event is regional and local authorities working on climate adaptation, public health, civil protection and social resilience, with an interest in integrating health and well-being into adaptation planning and action. It is also open to the wider Mission Adaptation Community and stakeholders working on climate resilience and inclusive, people-centred approaches.
