All of the handmade pottery on display at the Safeway Foundation Breast Center was created by Dr. Michael Neuman, who served as the supervising radiologist at the Breast Center from its opening in 2010 until 2021. Dr. Neuman has been creating organic decorative and functional pottery for the past 5 years. He takes inspiration from nature, especially the coastal forests of Oregon. Many of the items on display (along with other pieces created by Dr. Neuman) are available for purchase on Dr. Neuman‘s Etsy shop, with proceeds going to the Providence Foundation to support breast cancer research.
