On Windows, build it with CMake and a C++ compiler. The simplest setup is Visual Studio 2022 (or Build Tools) with the Desktop development with C++ workload and CMake installed.
From PowerShell:
git clone https://github.com/ssloy/tinyrenderer.git cd tinyrenderer cmake -S .-B build cmake --build build --config Release .\build\Release\tinyrenderer.exe .\obj\diablo3_pose\diablo3_pose.obj .\obj\floor.obj
If you use the Ninja generator, the executable may instead be at .\build\tinyrenderer.exe. The program has no GUI; it writes framebuffer.tga into the current directory. You can open it with an image viewer that supports TGA or convert it to PNG.
For learning, I would not start by modifying the final main.cpp. The course README links to the small starter commit, and each lesson builds the renderer step by step: https://github.com/ssloy/tinyrenderer/tree/706b2dfecff65daeb93de568ee2c2bd87f277860

VS Code works fine. The only important distinction is that VS Code is an editor—it does not include a C++ compiler by itself. On Windows, install:
Then open the cloned cmake -S . -B build
cmake --build build --config Release
.\build\Release\tinyrenderer.exe .\obj\diablo3_pose\diablo3_pose.obj .\obj\floor.objIf CMake Tools asks you to select a kit/compiler, choose the installed Visual Studio Build Tools (MSVC) kit. If So you do not need the full Visual Studio IDE; VS Code plus CMake and the standalone MSVC Build Tools is enough. |

Ok.Thank you for your help. Have a nice day. By the way, probably many questions are coming soon, haha. I hope you won't mind them.
Thank you for your time, again!

VS Code works fine. The only important distinction is that VS Code is an editor—it does not include a C++ compiler by itself.
On Windows, install:
VS Code
The C/C++ and CMake Tools extensions
CMake
A compiler—MSVC Build Tools with the Desktop development with C++ workload is the easiest option
Then open the cloned tinyrenderer folder in VS Code. You can either use CMake: Configure and CMake: Build from the Command Palette, or run the same commands in VS Code's terminal:
cmake -S .-B build cmake --build build --config Release .\build\Release\tinyrenderer.exe .\obj\diablo3_pose\diablo3_pose.obj .\obj\floor.obj
If CMake Tools asks you to select a kit/compiler, choose the installed Visual Studio Build Tools (MSVC) kit. If cmake or the compiler is not found, restart VS Code after installation so it picks up the updated environment.
So you do not need the full Visual Studio IDE; VS Code plus CMake and the standalone MSVC Build Tools is enough.
