Hi, I'm Daekeun Kang πŸ‘‹

I'm a hardware-software bridge builder based in Korea. I design circuits, write firmware, and build web tools that make electronics development smoother. Currently working at HUCONN, where I focus on embedded systems and IoT solutions.

πŸ”§ What I Do

I specialize in bridging the gap between PCB design and software tooling. Most of my open source work revolves around:

  • KiCad/EDA Toolchain β€” Building tools to streamline component management and design workflows
  • Embedded Systems β€” STM32, Cortex-M firmware, CAN bus, Battery Management Systems
  • Web Applications β€” Modern frontends (Svelte, TypeScript) for hardware-related tools

🏒 HUCONN

I manage HUCONN, an embedded systems and IoT solutions company. Our work spans:

Domain Focus
Battery Management BMS firmware (Zephyr RTOS), monitoring platforms, cell simulators
Automotive & Mobility Vehicle IVI systems, CAN communication, electric cart solutions
IoT Solutions Smart sensor systems, industrial monitoring, railway applications
TOPST Platform Telechips-based embedded boards, Linux kernel porting, education kits

We deliver full-stack solutions from hardware design (KiCad) to firmware (C/Zephyr) to web dashboards (Vue/Svelte).

πŸ’‘ Personal Interests

Beyond my day-to-day work, I'm deeply interested in:

  • Embedded Systems β€” Low-level programming and hardware-software interaction
  • Computer Architecture & Systems β€” How processors, memory, and systems work under the hood
  • FPGA Design β€” Recently exploring hardware description languages and custom digital logic design
