If the Thread is interrupted while AutodetectCommunicator::waitFlushToCompletion is spinning on autoDetectResultProcessor.waitForFlushAcknowledgement, it will never die.

FlushListener::waitForFlush catches the InterruptedException and then marks the thread as interrupted, since the caller does not check the thread status, it simply calls the same method again in a continuous loop. Consequently, the CountDownLatch::await call throws an InterruptedException again, and the cycle continues.

One of the main questions here is if the exception should be bubbled up and allow the caller AutodetectCommunicator::flushJob to handle it, or if the current thread is interrupted and handle it within the waitFlushToCompletion method. I chose for the former, as I think it should be considered a "sad path" and the callers up the stack should be allowed to handle their failed state.
