autoCloseMarkdown appends two extra asterisks to Chinese text

Using comark preview commit 824e49a:

import { autoCloseMarkdown } from 'comark';

const input = '这是**中文。**后续文字';
console.log(autoCloseMarkdown(input, { syntax: false }));

Expected: 这是**中文。**后续文字

Actual: 这是**中文。**后续文字** — two extra asterisks appended.

Removing the leading 这是 produces the expected unchanged output: **中文。**后续文字.
