Python backend training · Open-source contributor · Engineering physics

I'm working toward a career in software development after completing the Python Developer Plus professional retraining program at Yandex Practicum (620 hours, July 2023). I have a degree in engineering physics and currently work as an engineer in the reactor department of a nuclear power plant.

Programming draws me in because the field keeps challenging its own limits: setting new records, making discoveries, and finding better ways to solve problems. I want to contribute to that progress and keep learning as the field advances.

Python backend projects

My learning projects put Python backend technologies into practice:

  • Culinary social platform — a recipe-sharing backend using Django and Django REST Framework, with PostgreSQL, Docker Compose, Gunicorn, Nginx, and GitHub Actions configuration.
  • CatFundraiser — a donation-management API using FastAPI, asynchronous SQLAlchemy, Pydantic, and Alembic, with Google Sheets reporting.
  • LinkShorty — a Flask URL shortener with a REST API, SQLAlchemy models, and pytest tests.

I've also used Scrapy to collect PEP data and the Telegram API in a homework-status bot.

Open-source contributions

I spend free time contributing fixes, tests, and bug investigations to open source:

All pull requests · Open · Merged

These links document the changes, investigation, and validation. Through this work, I'm learning to investigate failures, make focused changes, and explain what was checked.

Learning and interests

I follow developments in AI, software security, and digital privacy, especially preventing data leaks and protecting people from unwanted surveillance. I want to understand how these technologies evolve and keep my knowledge useful as they do.

Let's connect

I'm open to software development roles, other opportunities in IT, and open-source collaboration. I'd welcome a conversation about a role or project where I can contribute and keep learning.
