I am a self-taught developer from 🇲🇽. I recently built and shipped an open-source Android app: LensHRV.
I initially built this app because I was skeptical: I wanted to measure with real data whether meditation actually worked. On top of that, I realized there wasn't a truly free app available for this without expensive hardware or paid subscriptions.
That became my drive to dive deep:
- Learned mobile development.
- Dove into human physiology, math, and physics.
- Read scientific papers (assisted by AI).
I am actively looking for my first programming job with this featured project in hand. However, without a degree and zero experience in tech, I’ve only received rejections so far.
I'm a bit weak on Data Structures & Algorithms, and since that's what companies actually test, I’m currently practicing those classic problems (like reversing a linked list lol) to be ready.
LensHRV is currently in a great spot, with future updates coming down the road.
