A row carries more than a name and a message. Beside the name it can warn that the chat is a scam or a fake, mark it as a verified bot, or wear the status its owner chose, which is a star or an emoji of their own. Around it, it shows a voice chat with people already in it, a ring around the picture for a story that has not been watched, a timer for messages that delete themselves, a pin, a badge for poll votes waiting to be read, and a mark for a chat kept out of a community. A topic left with its sound on inside a chat that is silent has a mark of its own. None of it was said. The warning matters most: a chat set up to look like somebody else read exactly like the real one. The ring comes next: it is the whole of how anybody knows there is a story waiting. Say each where it is drawn: what is beside the name after the name, and what is around the row after the rest of its state. A status made from a custom emoji is a drawing of a plain one, and that is what there is to read of it. Which folders a chat is in is not a thing about the chat but about where it has been put, so it comes last of all, after the message, with a word in front of it so it is not taken for part of what was said.

Problem
A chat list row shows many badges that TalkBack does not read:
The scam/fake warning is the most important: a fake chat sounds exactly like the real one. The story ring is the only sign of an unseen story.
Fix
In
DialogCellandDialogCellTags, read each badge where it is drawn: name badges after the name, and the other badges after the rest of the row state. Custom emoji statuses are read as their base emoji. Folder tags are read last, after the message, with a word in front so they are not mistaken for message text.Testing
With TalkBack on, swipe over chats marked as scam or fake, with an emoji status, with an unseen story, and with an auto-delete timer.
Before: none of these were read. After: each is read.
