- Thank you and nice job. This would be bettered reviewed by a Javanese-language speaker. I know you didn't add it, but the first citation linking to Blogspot is problematic (per WP:SELFPUBLISH). I am writing to openly declare a Conflict of Interest (COI) as I am the subject, Dan Floyd (Daniel Thomas Floyd, born 1983). I know Wikipedia strongly discourages creating or requesting an article about oneself to maintain neutrality, so I wanted to reach out to you directly to see if you might be interested in taking this on as a neutral biographical project.
I believe my career meets the WP:NBASE criteria for athletic notability due to my time in the Major League Baseball affiliate system and international duties:
- US Minor Leagues: Signed with the Seattle Mariners organization, playing across 2000–2002. I spent the 2001 and 2002 seasons with the Class-A Wisconsin Timber Rattlers in the Midwest League, sharing the outfield rotation with future MLB All-Star Shin-Soo Choo.
- International Duties: Represented Team Australia at the 2000 World Junior Baseball Championship in Edmonton, Canada, finishing as the team's second-highest hitter with a .417 batting average and a .667 slugging percentage.
- Domestic Career: Named the International Baseball League of Australia's (IBLA) first-ever Rookie of the Year (1999–2000 season) playing for the Western Australia Heelers. Later played as a long-time utility for the Perth Heat, including delivering the extra-innings, championship-winning walk-off single against NSW in Game 3 of the 2009 Claxton Shield Grand Final.
I also come from an established Australian sporting family; my father is former VFL football player Tom Floyd (Geelong/Collingwood) and my daughter is Hannah Floyd (currently in the WAFLW / Western Australia U16 State Squad).

- You've done the right thing in reaching out, rather than attempting this yourself, though I feel I'm not the right person for this. I'm not involved with writing about baseball in any detailed way and don't know an awful lot about the sport. She was raised in a strict Calvinist household and attended the First Congregational Church in Amherst, Massachusetts.
She and her husband Edward Hunt did attend a Unitarian church.

Category refinements
[edit]Hi Jevansen. I saw that when you were refining categories you made this change which wasn't quite correct. Don't worry. I'm not here to shout at you. I can see what you are doing and that your process gets it right almost all the time. I'm just here to ask you to look at whether there is any way to adjust it so that you don't put any articles with categories for non-binary people into categories for male or female people? Maybe each of the higher level categories would benefit from having a third subcategory for non-binary people but I'd understand if that is outside the scope of what you are trying to do. --DanielRigal (talk) 15:24, 24 August 2026 (UTC)
- Hey Daniel. Thanks for this. Sam would have come up as "male" on my query as they are populated with Category:English tenors (a subcategory of Category:English male singers). I should have accounted for these cases by adding non-binary people as an exception in the query and will do next time.
- I had also added this category to Olly Alexander, another tenor with non-binary categories. However, Olly has several male actor categories as well and the article makes no mention that he identifies as non-binary. Would you mind reviewing this one? Cheers.
