Happy Holidays Sir

Happy New Year!

Just for information.

The Hindustan Times article you sourced for Don 3 in Kriti Sanon’s filmography is gone. It’s not showing anymore (i.e. 410 gone).[1]

I checked but unfortunately there is no archive of this article on archive.org.

Although, I could find a similar article from December 2025 by HT.[2]

Thank you. 💜 Honeybrowneyes (talk) 10:42, 29 June 2026 (UTC)Reply

@Honeybrowneyes: Thanks for pointing that out. I've updated the URL. Either they moved the extension from .htm to .html, or I missed the 'l'. - Fylindfotberserk (talk) 15:42, 29 June 2026 (UTC)Reply

Dards

Hi Fylind, regarding this comment of yours, please note that the Dardic ethno-linguistic people are indeed called "Dards". It is included in one of the Scheduled Tribes of India. You will find mentions of it on that page itself. -- Kautilya3 (talk) 20:50, 12 August 2026 (UTC)Reply

Hi Kautilya3 'Dards' is a collection of ethnolinguistic groups that includes Kashmiris, Shina, Kalash, Kho among others. The Indian census datasets have a lot of mistakes as far as classification is concerned, from labelling tribal religions as Hindu to clubbing scholarly accepted distinct minor languages (as in Wikipedia) as dialects of major languages. Not sure what a distinct Dard ethnicity means in the census or by the Indian govt. - Fylindfotberserk (talk) 21:04, 12 August 2026 (UTC)Reply
Kashmiri is not a Dardic language. That was old disinformation, which is now discredited. Shina is the primary Dardic language as of now. Kalash etc. are called "Kafiri languages", and their family classification is probably still under debate. Brokpa, Drokpa, Dard and Shin is a Scheduled Tribe recognized under the Constitution of India. -- Kautilya3 (talk) 21:20, 12 August 2026 (UTC)Reply
Who said that? Kashmiri is Dardic per the general consensus. Gottolog also categorises it as an Eastern Dardic language, and so are Shina and Kohistani. Though 'Dardic' as a linguistic or ethno-term has been questioned. Brokpa, Drokpa, Dard and Shin is NOT a single tribe but a category-collection of various communities that are labelled as ST by the Indian govt. Brokpas, while linguistically closer to Shins, are genetically significantly different. Indian census data is not to be trusted beyond its own scope. - Fylindfotberserk (talk) 21:52, 12 August 2026 (UTC)Reply

Uttarakhand

Hello @Fylindfotberserk, hope you're doing well. I’ve just completely rewritten the Uttarakhand article and am planning to nominate it for GA. Would you mind taking a look at the article and giving me an idea of what might be missing and how likely it is to pass the GA review? Please ignore the references for now, as I’m planning to add and finalise them over the next day or two. Thanks in advance.-25 CENTS VICTORIOUS 🍁 15:36, 18 August 2026 (UTC)Reply

@25 Cents FC: Skimming through, seems fine to me. I did a minor fix, moving the natural disasters section within geography. - Fylindfotberserk (talk) 16:01, 18 August 2026 (UTC)Reply
Hello. Could you please share the link to the Wikipedia DAB Solver tool you use for fixing links that point to disambiguation pages? -25 CENTS VICTORIOUS 🍁 11:32, 20 August 2026 (UTC)Reply
@25 Cents FC: I do not use a DAB solver tool, I simply open the dab page and use the relevant one as the backlink. I used to use a tool before, forgot which one, but that and many items from my watchlist and preferences got lost in 2022 after I did a cleanup. - Fylindfotberserk (talk) 11:39, 20 August 2026 (UTC)Reply

Stop reverting my edits

Hindi is the official language of India. Why are you guys constantly reverting the native names every time. It's looking very good please don't do this RockyinXXX (talk) 18:21, 30 August 2026 (UTC)Reply

Wikipedia articles belong to Wikipedia not the Republic of India. It has its own rules. - Fylindfotberserk (talk) 18:22, 30 August 2026 (UTC)Reply
let it be please it's looking so good. I have watched many articles like it. Handful request why are you talking like this way ? RockyinXXX (talk) 18:24, 30 August 2026 (UTC)Reply
why native hebrew language are allowed in Israeli related articles, why chinese are allowed in Chinese related articles. Don't be biased at all. Noone has any problem why are you creating issue if it's looking so good ? RockyinXXX (talk) 18:25, 30 August 2026 (UTC)Reply

Wikipedia:The Asia-Oceania Destubathon

Hi, you are invited to participate in the The Asia-Oceania Destubathon in November in support of Wikipedia:Asian Month. £2000 (about US$ 2,689.54) in prizes. We're hoping to see a lot of stub articles improved for Asian countries. If you are from a country in Asia or have a keen interest in contributing to Asia as you have with the Asian 10,000 Challenge, it would be great to have you on board. It's a good opportunity to be rewarded for your work on the country/countries you usually contribute on. All of the articles produced for Asia will be tipped into the Asian challenge in the end anyway, and we will likely then need to increase the 10,000 Challenge to a 20,000 Challenge as we've been doing so well! Sign up if interested! Even if not competing for prizes you are welcome to participate in it as an editathon. Thanks.♦ Dr. Blofeld 11:35, 24 September 2026 (UTC)Reply

Government of Kerala article

The state name officially changed to Keralam. In constitution of India, and also all other legal and official communications/documents the state name known as Keralam not Kerala. Officially the state government is known as Government of Keralam not Kerala. You can keep the Kerala (state) article as Kerala, but not Government of Kerala. It represents the legal and administrative information; so it should be changed to Government of Keralam. Asifalinair (talk) 15:08, 26 September 2026 (UTC)Reply

@Asifalinair: It is apparent that you either didn't understand or haven't read my edit summaries and the comments embedded as part of the warnings issued to you. Wikipedia has its own set of rules, which is different from the laws of the country to which an article is related to. Wikipedia uses WP:COOMMONNAMES not the official names. And that article belongs to Wikipedia, not the Government of KEral, or India or a person or an organisation. There is no middle ground, if the state article name changes then only the related article names would change. Secondly, you cannot blank pages. Third, you've to make a proper move RfC WP:CONSENSUS in the relevant article talkpages. Hope You understand. - Fylindfotberserk (talk) 20:26, 26 September 2026 (UTC)Reply
