Hello Brynn, I am not experienced with Wikipedia editing. The draft is about Hüsnü Yazıcı (born 1964), a Turkish businessman, local historian, and author from Sarıyer, Istanbul. He has published several books on Bahçeköy, Karacaova, Ottoman population records, and the population exchange between Greece and Turkey. He has served as a municipal council member, sports administrator, and founder/member of several civic organizations. His historical research has been referenced by researchers and academic projects. If the draft is not visible, please let me know what needs to be corrected so that I can resubmit it properly. Thank you for your assistance. Best regards, Hüsnü Yazıcı

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Streamlight, a link pointing to the disambiguation page Fairfield, New Jersey was added. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Streamlight

[edit]

Information icon Hi Brynn Who Likes Editing! I noticed that you recently made an edit at Streamlight and marked it as "minor", but it may not have been. On Wikipedia, "minor edit" refers only to superficial edits that could never be disputed, such as fixing typos or reverting obvious vandalism. Any edit that changes the meaning of an article is not minor, even if it only concerns a single word. Thank you. Yojo98 (talk) 18:15, 29 July 2026 (UTC)Reply

Got it. But I got this habit of making many small edits at a time, so sometimes I'll mark it as minor out of instinct. 🎆 Brynn Who Likes Editing | talk w/ me! 18:17, 29 July 2026 (UTC)Reply
I get that! I think it's a confusing name for it, but a lot of editors only look at non-minor changes to articles they watch, so it's helpful to only mark in appropriate instances. Cheers! Yojo98 (talk) 18:21, 29 July 2026 (UTC)Reply
Ah, okay. Thanks. 🎆 Brynn Who Likes Editing | talk w/ me! 18:22, 29 July 2026 (UTC)Reply

Requested moves

[edit]

Re: and , Wikipedia:Requested moves isn't appropriate for material on a user's talk space, as you found out when you got a big red warning that says "Template:Requested move is not for moves from draft or user space",

I control what is on my user talk pages, subject to Wikipedia:Talk page guidelines. If you think the page should be moved, just ask me on User talk:Guy Macon/Wikipedia has Cancer and make a good argument as to why I should make the change. I am afraid that you are going to have to come up with something better than "The article is about the Wikimedia Foundation's perceived error, not Wikipedia", though. When it comes to having enough money to keep the servers running, the Wikimedia Foundation and the English Wikipedia are pretty much the same thing. They will either live together or die together. When it comes to content, they are indeed separate.

An analogy: In 1993 I had my left kidney removed because of cancer. You would be accurate to say "you are not your kidney" but the cancer would have killed me anyway. If the area of finances in general and keeping the servers running in particular, The English Wikipedia (and the German Wikipedia, and all of the Wiktionaries, etc.) is just as part of the WMF as my kidney was part of me. --Guy Macon (talk) 21:37, 11 August 2026 (UTC)Reply

You're right. I'm sorry. I'll put it up as a normal talk page comment. Thanks. In solidarity, Brynn Who Likes Editing | talk w/ me! 21:40, 11 August 2026 (UTC)Reply

Your user page

[edit]

Hi Brynn Who Likes Editing! Thanks for the message you left for me on my user talk page. I've added your request to my list of things to do. :-) Typically, when I respond to someone on my user talk page that I haven't interacted with before, I usually take a few moments to check their contributions and their user pages (for many reasons). Looking at the history of your user page, I saw some information that you previously added to it that caused me some concerns in regards to your safety, so I wanted to touch base with you about it.

In past revisions on your user page, I saw that you added personal things about yourself — such as your age, links to other webpages or profiles that identify you, and personal information about your school and the grade you're currently in. I highly recommend that you completely avoid adding any personal information like this to your user page (or anywhere else on Wikipedia). It can open you up to harassment, being "doxxed" (having your address, phone number, and other private information found and posted online), and other forms of abuse. Experiencing this can be extremely stressful, and once you post your personal information online, it's usually impossible to take it back.

Since most of this personal information was present in past revisions that have since been removed (with the exception of a word that I removed from your current user page), I went ahead and suppressed those revisions for you. As of right now, if you decide not to add any of this information back to your user page, the personal information you previously added is suppressed and cannot be viewed by anyone outside of the oversight team (which is composed of about 45 users in total, including myself!), and you'll avoid the risks associated with posting your information publicly. I highly recommend keeping that kind of information about yourself off of your user page (and off of Wikipedia completely). :-)

Please let me know if you have any questions and I'll be more than happy to answer them. :-) Cheers - ~Oshwah~(talk) (contribs) 21:33, 18 August 2026 (UTC)Reply

Thanks! But I've noticed you haven't removed the first two diffs from 2 November 2025, where I explicitly say I am right now in [REDACTED], so I have to [...]. Those diffs contain other info that I may like removed at some point. Also, I also copied said information onto this user talk page, so if you'd like to, then maybe suppress the user talk page diffs on 3 November 2025. But also, I'd like to keep the bit in my use page that I am a, you know, vague seven-letter word starting with the letter 't'. Thanks. AfC August Backlog Drive: Only ten days left!

[edit]
Our pending drafts!

Hi Brynn Who Likes Editing, thanks for participating in the Articles for Creation August Backlog Drive! We've done amazing work so far, dropping the backlog by more than 3000 drafts already. We have around 1300 drafts outstanding, and we need your help to get that down to zero in the next 10 days. We can do this, but we need all hands on deck to help make it happen – if everyone who signed up to the drive reviewed just 1–2 drafts a day for the next ten days, we'd be down to zero in no time! A list of the pending drafts can be found at WP:AFCSORT, where you can select submissions in your area of interest, or you can find a random submission here. Thank you so much for your work so far, and happy reviewing! MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 00:20, 21 August 2026 (UTC)Reply

Your feedback on Cape (telecommunications company)

[edit]

Hi Brynn! Thanks very much for reviewing the draft and moving it to mainspace. If you'd be willing to share any feedback on ways the article could be improved, I'd love to clean up any promotional language. Thanks! Pizza9235 (talk) 20:29, 26 August 2026 (UTC)Reply

@Brynn Who Likes Editing: I just wanted to add some substantive suggestions for addressing promotional language. Do you think removing the following content would improve the article? In the fourth paragraph of History, remove: Cape Obscura was included among the Time Best Inventions of 2025.[1] In the Products and services section, remove the second sentence of the first paragraph: The consumer version works with both iPhone and Android devices.[2] Thanks again for your time and efforts - they’re much appreciated.

@Pizza9235: Thanks for responding to me! The History section contains one-sentence paragraphs that only highlight the company's achievements. However, this is to be expected since coverage of Cape is limited AFAIK, so I'd suggest merging the last three paragraphs of that section into one, to avoid it looking like a list of achievements.

I think the Cape states that it does not collect subscriber names, addresses, or Social Security numbers and does not log GPS location data. sentence is bad because it just talks about what Cape said and not something really worth covering on its own.

The company’s system uses encryption, secure authentication protocols, and obfuscation designed to prevent surveillance and unauthorized access to user data is also bad since that's information you'd expect from a security telecom company, and therefore reads like puffery. See the principle of some astonishment. I'd change it to The company's system uses varied technologies to prevent surveillance and unauthorized access to user data. Feel free to talk to me again! @Brynn Who Likes Editing: Thanks so much for all of the feedback. I’ve submitted an edit request on the Talk page if you have time to check it out. Thanks again! Talk:Cape (telecommunications company)#Edit request for September 2026 Pizza9235 (talk) 17:10, 16 September 2026 (UTC)Reply

Your user page display title

[edit]

Hi, I am wondering if you might want to change how the user page title is displayed while keeping the colors of your choice, because otherwise certain people who see the user page title may not see the words properly due to e.g. color blindness. e.g. <span style="font-weight:bold;background-color:black><span style="color:#6DE">User:</span><span style="color:#FAC">Brynn</span> <span style="color:#CCC">Who</span> <span style="color:#FAC">Likes</span> <span style="color:#6DE">Editing</span></span> would look like User:Brynn Who Likes Editing when you add a background color and bold format to the title before the first '<span style' appears in the displaytitle template. Potassium molybdate moved to draftspace

[edit]

Thanks for your contributions to Potassium molybdate. Unfortunately, I do not think it is ready for publishing as a live article at this time because it consists of AI-generated text and other AISIGNS (DOA and invalid refs, inconsistent level of citation/uncited evaluative statements). I have converted it to a draft which you can improve, undisturbed for a while.

Please see more information at Help:Unreviewed new page. When the article is ready for publication, please click on the "Submit the draft for review!" button at the top of the page OR move the page back. DMacks (talk) 19:30, 22 September 2026 (UTC)Reply

I was also concerned about that, but I wasn't really sure so after I marked it as reviewed, I marked it as unreviewed so a more experienced editor could review the page. Thanks for pointing that out, it's my first day with NPP so I might make mistakes sometimes. In solidarity, Brynn Who Likes Editing | talk w/ me! 19:47, 22 September 2026 (UTC)Reply
No worries. My first tip-off was actually that their commons uploads were AI-generated (one actually AI factual nonsense). Then when I traced back to enwiki to see if those uploads were integrated with their contribs here, I saw that article, so I checked the refs carefully. Some baklava for you!

[edit]
Ty for closing the AfD on Draft:2026 Philippine floods! I was trying to do the move to draftspace first just to make sure nothing would block the move (since I'm not an admin) but it gave me a weird error message, saying that the page had already been moved while I was editing. I assumed that someone else had just closed the AfD at that moment and didn't look back at the original AfD page. Thanks for catching that! Speedy deletion of Satleo Labs

[edit]
Warning icon

The page Satleo Labs has been speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This was done under section R2 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it was a redirect from the article namespace to a different namespace except the Category, Template, Wikipedia, Help, or Portal namespaces.

Please do not recreate the material without addressing these concerns, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If you think this page should not have been deleted for this reason, you may contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you may open a discussion at Wikipedia:Deletion review. I moved SatLeo Labs to draftspace, and unfortunately I left a redirect behind because I did not disable the option to leave a redir behind, and I knew that that would get (rightfully) deleted. Disputed non-free use rationale for File:Emma Hough Hobbs from Lux Film Fest.webp

[edit]

Thank you for uploading File:Emma Hough Hobbs from Lux Film Fest.webp. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this file on Wikipedia may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the file description page and adding or clarifying the reason why the file qualifies under this policy. Adding and completing one of the templates available from Wikipedia:Non-free use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your file is in compliance with Wikipedia policy. Please be aware that a non-free use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for files used under the non-free content policy require both a copyright tag and a non-free use rationale.

If it is determined that the file does not qualify under the non-free content policy, it might be deleted by an administrator seven days after the file was tagged in accordance with section F7 of the criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you. reppoptalk 16:45, 30 September 2026 (UTC)Reply
