[edit]

Change link for "Libyan Arabs" in the lead from "Libyan genocide" to "Libyan genocide" as the former is now a disambiguation page. Meluiel (talk) 20:33, 29 November 2024 (UTC)Reply

This needs to be moved

[edit]

It should be re-titled as Anti-Arab sentiment, considering Arabs are not a race but a linguistic group. Persian Lad (talk) 02:32, 27 October 2025 (UTC)Reply

Altering the references to support racist views in the article itself!

[edit]

The following section from 19:00, 16 June 2007 was altered from while keeping the same reference from:

"Anti-Arab prejudice has been present in Europe for centuries. In Spain, Arabs have been targeted since the 15th century after the fall of the last Arab state. The Spanish word "moro" was created to designate Arabs and carries a very negative meaning.[1]"

to the following

"Anti-Arab prejudice has been present in Europe for centuries. In Spain, Arabs have been targeted since the 15th century after the fall of Granada, the last Arab state in Al-Andalus. Arab converts to Christianity, called Moriscos, were expelled by the decree of 1610 from Spain to North Africa after being persecuted by the Spanish Inquisition. The Spanish word "moro" was created to designate Arabs and carries a very negative meaning.[2]"

to the following racist POV:

"Anti-Arab prejudice is suggested by many events in history. In the Iberian Peninsula, when the Reconquistaby the indigenous Christians from the Moorish colonists was completed with the fall of Granada, all non-Catholics were expelled. In 1492, Arab converts to Christianity, called Moriscos, were expelled from Spain to North Africa after being condemned by the Spanish Inquisition. The Spanish word "moro", meaning moor, today carries a negative meaning"

I will revert it but I believe it should be deleted and changed altogether Prosnu (talk) 16:38, 3 August 2026 (UTC)Reply
