California Data Broker Registry

A data broker is a business that collects personal information about consumers from various sources and sells that information to other companies, even when the consumer did not interact with the business for its products or services. Data brokers collect and sell personal information that may include social security numbers, precise geolocation, health-related information, browsing history, and more. Learn more about personal information and data brokers.

Any business that meets the definition of "data broker" must register with CalPrivacy annually between January 1-31 to report on its activities from the previous calendar year. The businesses in this registry operated as data brokers in 2025. CalPrivacy publishes the information submitted during the registration process in the California Data Broker Registry after the registration period ends.

As of January 1, 2026, California residents may use DROP to submit one request to all active data brokers, including those on this registry, requesting the deletion of their personal information. Learn more about the list of all active data brokers in DROP.
