The best thing remains the right-side panel asking you to just Write Some Code. It's usually not just echoing a template. Fixing code examples breaks up the risk of repetition, but being asked to write (the body of) a function from scratch for several problems at once is just the right amount of "challenge" for Beginners. None of it is a task too great. It just requires a little patience, and the willingness to puzzle out what the course asks and what you've actually just written.
