Honored to jointly with @NKassianides award the 🇫🇷🇩🇪 Human Rights prize to @Issaamro in Hebron! But distressed by 🇮🇱 soldiers preventing us passing the checkpoint to Issa’s house! Unacceptable - and a reminder of the many movement restrictions Palestinians endure on a daily basis
It takes principles+courage to stand up for human rights. Defending them in a context where threats loom on many sides.
With great admiration we award @Issaamro the 🇫🇷🇩🇪 Human Rights prize - unexpectedly, in a telling place. You are a shining example of integrity+bravery. مبروك
