
‘Infrastructure problems’ at a south London Tube station are continuing to cause severe delays across the entire Victoria line this morning.
The issue was first reported at Brixton Tube station yesterday (Tuesday) and is still impacting the the route from Brixton and Walthamstow Central, leaving travellers with long waits on busy platforms.
TfL states: “Severe delays due to infrastructure damage at Brixton. Tickets will be accepted on, London Buses, Weaver Line, Suffragette Line, Great Northern, Thameslink, South Western Railway and Southeastern via any reasonable route.”

Severe delays remain on both the Victoria and Elizabeth lines.
The entire Victoria line is affected by a faulty crossing near Brixton Tube station, which engineers are attempting to fix.

TfL apologises over 'defective crossing' near Tube station
A TfL spokesperson said: “We apologise to Victoria line customers for the disruption to their journeys over the last few days.
“This is due to a defective crossing near Brixton Tube station, which is limiting our ability to run trains at full speed.
“Our engineers are working on the issue to resolve it as quickly as possible and restore a good service.
“We will issue further updates to customers when this work has been completed.”
Signalling problem hits two Tube lines
Signalling problem at Rayners Lane have led to services being halted on two Tube lines.
There is no service on the Piccadilly line between South Harrow and Uxbridge, and a similar suspension on the Metropolitan line between Aldgate and Uxbridge. A fire at Kilburn has also contributed to the problem on the Metropolitan line.
Both lines otherwise have good service.
