Bryant Park: Where to eat, drink and be merry at Bank of America Winter Village
It's officially Christmas, at least in Byrant Park where the annual Bank of America Winter Village opened Oct. 27, complete with an ice skating rink, shopping and food kiosks.
New this year: a rinkside pop-up tent called The Lodge which feels like a cozy mountaintop food hall featuring eateries like Mah-Ze-Dahr Bakery, Pierogi Boys, Good Stock, Todaro Bros and The Stackery.

MAMARONECK: The new food scene
A large bar, appropriately named The Lodge Bar, centers the space, with casually draped tartan plaid blankets on bar stools for those needing some extra warmth (though the tent is heated). The bar is surrounded by long communal tables and benches with a smattering of woolly white throws.
Back outside, more than 50 food kiosks ring the rink serving everything from dumplings to cookie dough. Here's a rundown of some of what we tasted — and what you should try:
- Beet Meatball, CousCous The Vegan Bowl
- Bone Broth, Good Stock
- Cake Batter, DŌ, Cookie Dough Confections
- Cheesesteak, Cheesesteaks by The Truffleist
- Chicken Taco, Frida's Favorites Mexican Cantina
- Chocolate Chip Cookie, Mah-Ze-Dahr Bakery
- Chocolate Truffle, No Chewing Allowed
- Cranberry-Rosemary Herbed Wafel, Wafels & Dinges
- Dumplings, Destination Dumplings
- Hot Chocolate, Max Brenner
- Kimchi Bing, Mr. Bing
- Kosher Dill, Pickle Me Pete
- Mini Doughnuts, Doughnuttery
- Mozz Sticks, Big Mozz
- Spring Roll, Bun Ramen
- Yule Want S'more Chimney Cake, The Stackery
The rink and The Lodge by Urbanspace are open 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily through March 3, 2019, and the holiday shops are open through Jan. 2, 2019. Bryant Park is on 42nd Street in Manhattan between Fifth and Sixth avenues. Go to bryantpark.org for more information.
