U.S. shopping habits are shifting with the season. We analyzed month-over-month sales from thousands of Shopify merchants to identify June’s trending products. At the top of the list are paddleball sets and sunflowers. Here’s what caught our attention: → Outdoor activities are gaining popularity, highlighted by a 904% increase in paddleball sets. Demand also surged for roller skates (+640%), bocce ball sets (+377%), and kick scooters (+235%). → As summer heats up, consumers are purchasing beach and pool products. Beach bag sales are up 251%, followed by bikinis (+222%), pool noodles (+167%), and one-piece swimsuits (+120%). → Golfers are investing in accessories, including golf bag covers & cases (+94%), golf gloves (+41%), and golf clubs (+33%). → With the Fourth of July approaching, consumers are stocking up on festive foods and decorations, including pie & pastry fillings (+284%), vegetable dips (+200%), picnic blankets (+198%) and grill toppers (109%). Entrepreneurs, what summer trends are emerging in your stores?
My summer trend is building a great Shopify website and launching my own business! I’m implementing SEO strategies and creating marketing materials pointing prospective customers to my Shopify website. Then, suddenly and without explanation, Shopify terminated my website. I appealed, but without knowing the reason for the termination I have no direction. I hope it works because the automated help says that once they review the case, their decision is final. Hours wasted and my credibility is taking a hit. Customers are asking me how they can order, but I can’t serve them. No income for my family. Trying to get an automated, unfeeling monolith to help me is my new Summer trend!
The major problem are Suscription based, covering sales to cover only Shopify and modules subscription has get our e-commerce store closed. I Agreed with Kim Fontana Anderson what say they moved to BigCommerce. If you don't sell products that have high margin, you're close to bankrup. If you sell something that many other vendor offer, you will be failed.
I’m a small business owner who has been using Shopify for 14 years with all positive experiences and only occasional minor issues. However, recent changes, especially the shift to AI-driven support have made managing my store much more stressful. Currently, I’m experiencing failed payouts despite no changes on my end, and for days now, I’ve been caught in a frustrating loop with AI support. I keep receiving generic AI responses promising escalations but no real updates or solutions. My funds are stuck, which has never happened in all my years running this shop. I have no clear timeline or guidance to plan upcoming product launches, and it’s affecting my business severely. If there’s anyone who can offer advice or connect me with a real person who can actually help, I would be incredibly grateful. At this point, I’m spending time posting across Shopify’s social media just to get some basic support.
Crazy how fast things change, one minute it’s business as usual, next thing everyone’s after paddleball sets and pool noodles. That’s the fun part of ecommerce though, it never really sits still. Love seeing how quickly consumer behavior shifts with the season, and how fast merchants can ride the wave when they spot the trend early. However whether it’s paddleball sets or pool noodles, speed to market is key. AI-powered content makes it way easier to jump on these trends before they cool off.
It's fascinating to see how consumer behavior evolves with the seasons. The significant rise in outdoor activity products underscores a deeper desire for connection and experience, which is especially heartening post-pandemic. As we navigate these emerging trends, it’s encouraging to think of the creativity and adaptability demonstrated by merchants. I look forward to seeing how these insights inspire more innovations in our industry.
I see that Loom Muse is your associate in India. I have placed an order on 7th July 2025 and have paid online. I am yet to receive the same. There is no way I can reach out to them - can you please help!!!!
I am told my 10 year old website maybe frozen due to non payment which is due to your technical errors even as per your advisors
Now I have to put a huge effort into quickly developing a new website on another platform and move out from Shopify. Shopify users be warned. A friends website was frozen for 10 days due to Shopify tech issues. This can happen to anyone. Thanks to Shopify's pathetic service.
Happy 4th July 🎇
Great
