I usually post about AI & work-related things here, but today I want to remind everyone how important it is to find moments of joy outside of our jobs. Last weekend, I had the opportunity to attend the Portsmouth leg of the SailGP & even meet teams. (Yes, I was fangirling.) It was exhilarating to be at a live sporting event - soaking up the often elusive British sunshine, the incredible cutting-edge technology in the sport, and the human emotion of tens of thousands of fans. The day was even more special as I got to share it with my daughter. I hope that you find something soon that gives you joy outside of work & is focused on the experience of being human. Sharing some photos from the day:
beautiful Lila Ibrahim...einstein although not a great sailer loved sailing. sailing wasn't about skill, and he wasn't very good. it was about solitude and thought, and harmony with nature. all of us would benefit from more time on the water!
Such a refreshing post, Lila. The humanity behind the innovation is often what truly moves the world — and I believe AI needs more of this kind of joy and reflection. Thank you for setting that tone.
Love this sentiment Lila Ibrahim and I couldn't agree more
Thanks for saying this out loud Lila!
Such great advice! Thank you for sharing these lovely pics!
Lila Ibrahim LOVE this post! In fact, I have found the further into digital disruption, AI and the incredible pace of change we are experiencing - the more I crave the need to ground myself. I am either biking, meditating, hiking and most recently rowing (sculling) - where I am able to find the balance needed at 6am on the water - before the work day begins. 🙃
A good reminder that summer is already in its second half ))
I am working on a business concept around helping people celebrate life and find more joy. Sending you a DM to learn more about your experience!

1wEPIC Lila Ibrahim! Yes to moments of joy. And, from a fellow Hannah Mills fangirl myself, I have to say SaliGP deserves credit for the work they are doing on getting more female athletes into the sport. Turns out women make awesome tacticians (aka the strategist) on these insane sailboats! You and the girls have to come watch it on our "home turf" in SF Bay one day ⛵ 🌉
