Generative AI’s Post

Now, this is a robotics application we can all get behind.🤖 The Figure 01 humanoid just did laundry: fully autonomously. Not tele-operated. No scripts. No task-specific fine-tuning. It runs on Helix, Figure AI’s Vision-Language-Action model, combining: 👉A 7B vision-language model for high-level planning 👉An 80M visuomotor controller for real-time precision The result? F.02 can fold towels, sort laundry, and generalize to novel objects in real homes, something that’s been out of reach for robotics until now. - And it all runs onboard, in real time, powered by low-watt GPUs. - No cloud latency. No remote compute. This is what moving from robotics demos to real-world deployment looks like. So be honest: would you trust a robot like this alone in your house? Deploy your own MCP server and unlock real-world GenAI workflows https://hubs.li/Q03B2S2f0 #humanoid #robotics #artificialintelligence #machinelearning #algorithm

Interesting how far are from having actual robots helping with our day to day duties. To think that phones were big heavy blocks and now to this. Exiting !

Finally—a robot that handles laundry without needing to call tech support for every sock! Folding towels on the fly is the real innovation the future promised us, and doing it all locally (without the cloud) means my bedsheets’ privacy is safe, too. As robotics and AI get more autonomous, it’s the behind-the-scenes intelligence that makes the magic. With platforms like https://www.chat-data.com/, tasks that once needed constant supervision—from customer support to appointment scheduling—now run smoothly and securely, right where you need them. Maybe a future upgrade will even handle the laundry handoff.

Honestly i dont see any great things here. Yes doing the laundry is a no brains activity but doing it gives your brain some free space for relaxation. And do we really think we would in near future buy an insanely expensive robot to do my laundry? I mean i would rather arrange for a pick up and drop dry cleaning service to take care of that. In such a case i dont put my brain or money or time at all for this. I dont even buy a washing machine for clothes. And somethings people are purposely overlooking i suppose is the fact of privacy. In this robotic era, we should not bother much with personal privacy, but what about you and your home? If a robot can capture images process it and decide actions, it should also be able to transfer those images or at least the data from those images to a server. And other concers do also follow. It could be that we are heading for this date, but trust me, it going to be dangerous for a peaceful human life.
