I took a behind-the-scenes tour of Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run! I couldn't stop thinking about how much better the Cast Members' understanding of the story MADE the experience. I can't tell you the number of times I've seen a guest's experience improved by an operations host's commitment to story. I've seen adults feel safer to play and get silly, kids lock into the experience and bring in those around them. It's one of my favorite parts of the parks, where so much of the magic comes from. When your guest-facing teams know your story, it elevates the entire guest experience. It enriches the world, fosters connections, and signals to guests that they're in a safe space for imagination. By encouraging your team members to know and live your story, you're setting them up to nurture fulfilling collective experiences — among both guests AND employees. These experiences improve guest satisfaction, promote employee retention, and strengthen an audience's relationship with your brand. 1 year ago, I was a jobless graduate with £2,000 to pay 6 months' rent in a shared flat in Edinburgh. 11 months ago, my friend had to pay my rent for 1 month (I paid her back). 7 months ago, I got a job in a museum as an ethnographic researcher. 6 months ago, I quit that job. 5 months ago, I made my first post on LinkedIn. 4 months ago, I went viral and got 3,000 followers from one post. 4 months ago, I received two job opportunities from my comment section. 3 months ago, I got my lowest-paying client, but I was happy (she was my first client). 1 month ago, I got my highest paying client. 1 week ago, I hit 5K followers on LinkedIn. and now - I get 5 inbound potential clients weekly, some from my comment section. - I have a personal brand that's getting me opportunities I never imagined I could get. - I earn in different currencies. - My laptop is tired of me, but oh well, we create a lot of content. I am not stuck and confused like I was a year ago.
