Creating advanced firewall rules
- Now let's look at some of the advanced settings regarding the Firewall at Windows 11. Here in windows Security Center, I've pulled up the Firewall and Network Protection area. And in the middle paying, second from the bottom, I'm going to click on Advanced Settings. This will bring up the user account control. So I'll need to confirm that I do want to make changes. I'll click Yes. And this will pull up the Windows Defender Firewall with Advanced Security window. In the menu on the left, I'm going to select Inbound Rules, and that'll populate the middle pane where it shows me there are quite a lot of rules on my Windows 11 Firewall already. I didn't manually create any of these rules. They were automatically created for me, either by installing Windows or installing particular applications.
