Advance your coding skills with Code Challenges
- What if every coding lesson came with a built-in playground where you could test your skills, get instant feedback, and learn by doing? That's exactly what code challenges offer. Code challenges are interactive hands-on environments designed to reinforce specific coding concepts through short focused exercises, developed by our partner CoderPad, our data shows that code challenge learners, retain skills at a 20% higher rate than non-users. That's the power of practice. Let's take a look at where to find them. I am now on the home screen of LinkedIn Learning and define code challenges, you navigate the left navigation bar and click on coding practice. On this browse pad, you'll see that there are two filters. One for hands-on practice with code challenges, and one for hands-on practice with GitHub code spaces, I'm going to click on the code challenges filter. A new page appears, and at the time of this recording, we have 162 courses that have hands-on practice with code challenges. I'm going to pick the top one to show you where to find them within a course. Now in the course you'll see that the table of contents looks like a normal table of contents, except you will see the code challenge exercises right here. If I click on code challenge, it is going to open up the coding environment right within the course, and you see instructions on the left and you see the coding practice on the right. So, I highly recommend that you watch the videos leading up to this coding environment exercise so that you have all the context to dive right into the practice. Code challenges give you a terrific hands-on way to practice what you've learned so you can get real time feedback and build coding skills one step at a time.
