- [Instructor] I remember I got booked to speak at a conference for data analysts. Math wasn't my strongest subject in school. And after looking up this company and reading its description a dozen times, I still wasn't completely certain what they did. When I had my introductory phone call with them, I asked them why they chose me. They said, because you're not like anyone in the audience. They wanted to bring in someone who wasn't like them, who had a completely different wiring and personality type. So they could have their teams learn something new and fresh. Remember, your story doesn't have to be your audience. For example, if you're an athlete, you don't have to just talk for athletes, maybe either speaking to college students about the power of healthy habits.
