About The Company

Gemini is a global crypto and Web3 platform founded by Cameron and Tyler Winklevoss in 2014, offering a wide range of simple, reliable, and secure crypto products and services to individuals and institutions in over 70 countries. Our mission is to unlock the next era of financial, creative, and personal freedom by providing trusted access to the decentralized future. We envision a world where crypto reshapes the global financial system, internet, and money to create greater choice, independence, and opportunity for all — bridging traditional finance with the emerging cryptoeconomy in a way that is more open, fair, and secure.

The Department: Institutional Sales

In Business Development we build relationships, are on the front lines of all critical customer service issues, and help manage the customer lifecycle through pivotal stages in their Gemini journey. Whether it’s identifying new key Web3 clients or servicing a retail customer’s needs, our goal is the same: deliver for our customers no matter what.

The Role: Senior Associate, Institutional Business Development

This is the perfect role for someone who is keeping a discerning eye on the rapidly changing landscape of Web3 and identifying key areas to drive top of funnel sales activity. This role is based in New York, but has a relatively flexible in-office policy.

This role is required to be in person twice a week at our New York City, NY office.

Responsibilities

  • Work with Sales team to create a prospect pipeline tailored for the crypto native client segment to improve sales efficiency and identify gaps in strategy
  • Develop reporting metrics to provide transparency into prospect conversion efficiency and revenue generation.
  • Maintain accurate activity and pipeline data in CRM tools (e.g. Salesforce, HubSpot).
  • Collaborate closely with Marketing to optimize messaging and campaign follow-up strategies.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to complete the task at hand, even in the face of blockers and challenges, with persistence and accountability
  • Provide feedback on client objections, pain points, and market dynamics to support sales strategy.

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of experience in a BDR, SDR, or lead generation role — ideally in financial services, fintech, SaaS, or crypto.
  • A hunter mentality with a bias for action — you’re energized by outbound outreach and client engagement.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, especially when explaining complex financial/crypto concepts.
  • Comfortable qualifying leads against nuanced sales criteria and prioritizing the highest-potential opportunities.
  • Highly organized, process-oriented, and able to thrive in a fast-moving, evolving space.
  • Passion for crypto and digital assets — familiarity with custody, staking, and institutional trading is a strong plus.

In the United States, employees within the New York, Seattle, and Miami metropolitan areas are expected to work from the designated office twice a week, unless there is a job-specific requirement to be in the office every work day. We believe our hybrid approach for those near our NYC, Seattle, and Miami offices increases productivity through more in-person collaboration where possible. Employees outside of these areas are considered part of our remote-first workforce.

At Gemini, we strive to build diverse teams that reflect the people we want to empower through our products, and we are committed to equal employment opportunity regardless of race, color, ancestry, religion, sex, national origin, sexual orientation, age, citizenship, marital status, disability, gender identity, or Veteran status. Equal Opportunity is the Law, and Gemini is proud to be an equal opportunity workplace. If you have a specific need that requires accommodation, please let a member of the People Team know.
