“I worked with Keir for five years at MERGE. During that time, our agency grew exponentially. Keir has a deep understanding of web development and user experience that were instrumental in shaping our agency's direction as we grew. He has an ability to foresee industry trends and translate them into innovative products for our clients. During our time working together, Keir was a professional mentor who helped shape my career goals and provided opportunities for me to build the skills needed to achieve them. Keir fosters a collaborative environment where creativity thrives and team members are encouraged to take ownership of projects. Even though I didn't report directly to Keir, he was a wonderful leader to work with and I'd jump at the chance to work with him again!”

In 2004, the Florida State Department of Elder Affairs had 15 established memory disorder clinics for the purposes of providing diagnosis and treatment for Floridians with Alzheimer's disease and related disorders. This was the result of a law passed 20 years prior establishing these clinics. However, the law also called for a database to track the patients at these clinics. When the Byrd Institute, a research non-profit, was founded by the State of Florida in 2003-2004, building this database became a task assigned to the Byrd Institute. I was the director of this project, called BIRDII. When I left, we had networked all 15 clinics and they were all doing useful data entry and reporting to the State. Further, they all used a common lexicon, legal and regulatory mechanisms were in place, and the data entry and reporting did not hamper and often improved clinic operation. Before 2004, two different full-scale efforts had been made by previous teams to complete this project. Ours was the first one that succeeded, and we were able to do it in a matter of a few years.
