Capturing the vibrant essence of the NFL Experience during Super Bowl LIII, my lens documented engaging Meet and Greets, dynamic press conferences, and the heartwarming activation with The Boys and Girls Club. Through the art of photography, I immortalized the moments that unfolded, encapsulating the energy and excitement surrounding these key events.

Embarking on the exciting journey to Art Basel, TILA Studios proudly announced our participation, accompanied by a talented group of Atlanta Black Women Artists. #RoadtoArtBasel commenced with our inaugural activation, "Portfolios and Pedis," held at the rejuvenating IWI Fresh. Partnering with the skilled "Skincare Chef" Yolanda Owens, we cultivated dreams and goals amidst the backdrop of expressive talents.

In our quest for knowledge and empowerment, TILA curated an esteemed panel of Atlanta Art Industry experts, including Erika Smith from Invest Atlanta, Daricia Mia DeMarr from the Atlanta Airport, and Kia Jackson Rodgers from the City of Atlanta Mayor’s Office of Cultural Affairs. Delving into opportunities, resources, and the art of making a living as a creative, we sought to equip our community with valuable insights.

Highlighting the pinnacle of our journey, we introduced the 2018 Garden Fellows – Christa David, Jasmine Williams, Shon Pittman, Evelyn Quinones, Ebony Black, Ariel Dannielle, Ayanna Smith, Angela Davis Johnson, Grace Kisa, and Sachi Rome. These ten remarkable women embarked on an all-inclusive paid trip to Art Basel, poised for success with their commitment to practice, the beauty of their works, and an unwavering determination to thrive as working artists.

During our time in Miami, my responsibilities were multifaceted. From documenting the entire experience to coordinating artist schedules for interviews and press engagements, I played a pivotal role in ensuring a seamless and impactful presence. Additionally, I provided assistance in event planning and managed social media channels to amplify our narrative. As the Art Basel experience concluded, the fruits of our labor manifested in major press features from acclaimed publications such as Forbes, The Huffington Post, and 21Ninety, solidifying our imprint in the high-end arts industry.

At the core of TILA's mission is the unwavering commitment to seeing black female artistry not just survive but flourish. With our ambitious plan to partake in Art Basel in Miami Beach, our aim is to magnify the visibility and representation of black women in the arts tenfold.

In a grand unveiling, we introduced the 2018 Garden Fellows: Christa David, Jasmine Williams, Shon Pittman, Evelyn Quinones, Ebony Black, Ariel Dannielle, Ayanna Smith, Angela Davis Johnson, Grace Kisa, and Sachi Rome. These ten exceptional women earned the privilege of an all-inclusive paid trip to the premier art show and convention, Art Basel. Rooted in their commitment to their craft, the intrinsic beauty of their works, and a resolute determination to thrive as working artists, we anticipate their success on the Basel stage.

Personally involved in this transformative project, my role extended beyond documentation. I collaborated directly with each artist, refining their artistic portfolios to elevate their professional presence. The visuals captured during the event served as the centerpiece for our feature on Thea Network and were strategically employed in dynamic social media campaigns. As part of the Tila Team, I actively contributed to strategic planning with the overarching goal of enhancing artist visibility.

Upon the event's conclusion, the fruits of our collective efforts materialized in the form of valuable sponsorships from esteemed partners such as MailChimp, ChooseATL, Essentia Water, and Southwest Airlines for our Art Basel project. This not only reinforced our commitment to empowering black women in the arts but also positioned TILA Studios as a force to be reckoned with on the global stage.

The essence of TILA extends far beyond the conventional labels of a gallery, an incubator, or a studio space. It serves as a foundational hub, offering artists, investors, and the community a unique space that guides creators on their journey, allowing them to chart their course alongside their art.

This series delves into the transformative journey of artists with TILA, unraveling a narrative that goes beyond mere physical spaces. From the introduction of the artist to the intricate details of their workspace, the logistics of transporting their creations, and the exploration of galleries with conversations with owners — the series unfolds a comprehensive narrative. Ultimately, it culminates in the artist achieving a personal milestone by hosting their own show and securing representation by a gallery.

As the visionary behind capturing the TILA demographic, I spearheaded the creation of a captivating video storyboard, handpicked featured artists, and steered the creative direction of the video campaign. My role extended beyond the limelight, involving coordination behind the scenes for production planning and contributing innovative ideas during the post-editing phase. A particularly enjoyable aspect was my involvement as a featured personality in the video campaign.

This video became a cornerstone asset in our "Road to Art Basel" campaign, seamlessly blending the beauty of collaborative art with our expressed goals. It served as a powerful medium to convey our vision to investors, sponsors, and the community, showcasing not only a visually stunning work of art but also the spirit of collaboration and shared aspirations.
