  • The Weedmaps team had an incredible July packed with events across the country. Here’s what went down 👇: 📍Red Rocks, CO - We kicked things off with early-morning sunrise yoga at the Rocks, where people showed up bright and early to flow with us. Attendees received our latest apparel towels, and we were joined by our partners at Spherex to make it a true community moment. 📍Virginia Beach Key, FL - In partnership with some of our brand friends, we hosted a beach clean-up and successfully collected 60 lbs of garbage. It was powerful to see the everyone come together to give back and protect the spaces we love. 📍Phoenix, AZ - We popped up at the Rising FC Tailgate for the 4th of July to show support for Arizona’s local soccer team at their first home game. Fans joined us for a pregame hangout, and the energy was unreal. 📍Bricktown, OK - We joined @Nature’s Kiss’ Hash Off to celebrate top-tier hash makers in the community. Hosting a booth gave us the chance to connect with attendees and watch talented makers earn recognition for their craft. 📍San Francisco, CA - We partnered with Purple Star MD Collective to host one of our Deltron 3030 Meet & Greet Ticket Giveaways. The turnout was amazing, and we were able to hook up attendees with fresh apparel for signing up. 📍Kansas City, MO - We continued our Puff & Paint series with Learn Art with Amy, where attendees painted designs from our Robin Eisenberg Collection. It was great to see people enjoy themselves while getting creative. Thanks to everyone who came out and made these events possible. We’re already hyped for what’s next. • This month, we had the opportunity to launch a limited 710 collaboration with the iconic plant-based fast-food chain, Mr Charlie's. Together, we dropped the exclusive Weedmaps Munchie Meal, complete with their signature not a burger and crispy fries, along with limited-edition apparel inspired by a classic stoner film and a collectible accessory, Stoner Eyes, our very own take on eyedrops. Thank you to everyone who made this collaboration possible and to the community who came out to support. It was incredible to see so many people come together for this drop. #cannabiscommunity #cannabisculture #weedmaps

  • Few can push the cannabis conversation forward quite like Alice Dos Reis, our Content & Social Media Manager. At the intersection of passion, purpose, and precision, she’s a trusted voice both within Weedmaps and across the cannabis ecosystem. Her leadership empowers both businesses and consumers—from deep dives into cultivation, sustainability, and hashmaking—to content that highlights the cultural roots and future of cannabis. Alice recently led updating our dataset on cannabis concentrates, a key initiative that provides consumers with a clearer understanding of extract classifications and usage just in time for 7/10. The update was also a crucial step in helping brands, retailers, and product developers better categorize, explain, and differentiate their offerings in a growing market. The project not only supported better user experiences but also reinforces Weedmaps' position as a trusted resource in the cannabis supply chain. Her leadership doesn't stop here. Outside of Weedmaps, Alice was recognized by Forbes as one of “The New Faces of Weed.” She launched a hash brand celebrated for its product innovation, as well as being founder and CEO of Girls in Green, a global platform championing harm reduction and cannabis education. In every space she operates, Alice is a connector of people, ideas, and communities—helping elevate the cannabis conversation through credibility, clarity, and care. Thank you, Alice, for helping shape the future of cannabis—one story, one product, and one community at a time. 💚

  • The Weedmaps crew had a packed June connecting with the community and popping up at events across the country. Here’s what we’ve been up to 👇 📍Nixa, MO — We hosted an industry night at the Treehouse Lounge alongside Headchange, Proper Brands, and Ace Solventless. From product sampling to Mario Kart showdowns, this event was all about strengthening local partnerships and creating space for the community to connect and unwind. 📍Denver, CO — In celebration of Go Skate Day, we pulled up to local skateparks with boards, swag, and cold water in hand. We gave away a new deck to the skater with the best trick, and more importantly, created an space that brought together skaters, cannabis enthusiasts, and creatives. 📍 Mesa, AZ — We joined our friends at JARS Cannabis for Cannaval, a full-blown summer beach party at Revel Surf Parks. With surf competitions, skate demos, and art installations, this event wasn’t just fun, the day was packed with nonstop energy and good vibes. The turnout from budtenders, consumers, and industry insiders highlighted the strength of Arizona’s growing cannabis scene. 📍 San Diego, CA — We made it out to the iconic 45th Annual Ocean Beach Chili Cook-Off with Buzz Cannabis. From morning until close, Ocean Beach was packed with chili tastings, and non-stop energy. Events like these give us the chance to build real connections with the local community and show up where it matters. 📍Sapulpa, OK — We teamed up with Deepwell Cannabis and Five Leaf Labs for the Pot Shots 3 Paintball Tournament, where eight teams from across the Oklahoma cannabis industry faced off for the ultimate bragging rights. We set up a lounge with shade, snacks, and ice-cold drinks to keep the vibes high all day long. We’re proud to be a part of events that center culture, community, and connection. Stay tuned for what we do next. ✌️ #cannabiscommunity #cannabisculture

Big News for California’s Cannabis Industry: The State Assembly has unanimously approved AB 564, a bill to delay the scheduled cannabis excise tax increase from 15% to 19%, which was originally set to take effect July 1. Here’s what it means: ✋ Tax hike delayed — The excise tax will stay at 15% until at least 2030–2031, giving legal businesses much-needed breathing room. 🌱 Industry support — UFCW warns the hike would have driven more closures and fueled the illicit market. 📝 Fast-track potential — Advocates hope to incorporate the measure into a budget trailer bill for faster implementation. • We had a great time popping up across the country this May, here's what Weedmaps has been up to 👇 📍San Francisco, CA - We joined the iconic Bay to Breakers footrace and street party, a tradition since 1912. In a sea of costumes and runners, we showed up to support with free water, high vibes, and of course, helping people catch that runner’s high. It was a chance to show how cannabis fits into wellness and celebration. 📍Miami, FL - We teamed up with Wizard Trees for a Sunday flow session in on the beach. Attendees were gifted curated swag bags and guided through a mindful yoga practice designed for plant lovers. It was a moment to slow down, stretch out, and learn more about how Weedmaps supports conscious cannabis use. 📍Denver, CO – We popped up at Migas Local Coffee Shop and gave out free coffee and swag to early risers. Beyond the caffeine boost, we had great convos about local brands, the Weedmaps app, and how cannabis fits into everyday routines. 📍Tucson, AZ – We sponsored JARS Cannabis’s epic Skate Jam and brought the energy with exclusive Weedmaps x Hemper boxes, giveaways, and gear. Watching local skaters rip and roll while we shared info about the plant was a reminder of how deeply cannabis and culture are connected. 📍Columbus, OH – We joined a hands-on How to Roll workshop with the Queer Cannabis Collective, supplying attendees with everything needed to build the perfect joint. Led by industry educators, this session was more than just skill-building, it was about empowering new consumers in safe, educational spaces. Thanks to everyone who came through. These moments are what keep us grounded in community and culture. Want to catch us IRL? Head to our https://lnkd.in/dUKfUE2m to see what’s coming up next. #cannabiscommunity #cannabisculture
