Efficient health data sharing through VITL is one of the essential strategies for making health care more affordable for Vermonters. When crucial health data is right at hand, right away, providers and health care staff spend less time making and responding to records requests, freeing up time for care and saving administrative costs. Today’s VTDigger includes a story about how 98.9% of Vermonters share their health records through VITL, supporting high quality care and improving efficiency at the same time. This piece is part of our commitment to informing Vermonters about how their health data is shared, why it matters, and everybody’s options: https://lnkd.in/eyFP6qbp #hie #healthcaredata #healthcare

VITL has delivered over half a million immunization records from the Vermont Department of Health’s Immunization Registry directly into providers’ electronic health records. Providers get up-to-date records and forecasts of vaccination needs, to help them care for their patients. It’s more efficient, too – one busy primary care practice estimates the service saves their nurses more than an hour and twenty minutes a day.
