Exciting results coming from Veolia’s first half of 2025, marking significant growth across our water, waste and energy operations. In North America, our financial results demonstrate strong momentum, with overall revenues up +3% and EBITDA growing +13% compared to 2024, while exceeding our free cash flow budget by $23 million. This success reflects strategic expansion across multiple sectors: 💧 Water: In June, we launched one of America's largest PFAS treatment facilities in Stanton, Delaware, now serving 100,000+ residents with high-quality drinking water. This milestone project, inaugurated by our Group CEO Estelle Brachlianoff, showcases our leadership in addressing emerging contaminants. 🌱 Environmental Solutions: Our waste management capabilities have expanded through strategic acquisitions including: New England Disposal Technologies, Inc. and New England MedWaste in Massachusetts; Ingenium in California; and Chameleon Industries in Texas. These additions strengthen our position in healthcare, life sciences and specialized waste management. Energy Services: We've enhanced our digital energy management portfolio by acquiring Icetec Energy Services in Pennsylvania, advancing our capabilities in smart building solutions and energy optimization. These developments, representing $300 million in strategic investments through our #GreenUp growth plan, demonstrate our commitment to delivering environmental security while driving sustainable growth across North America. We're proud of our teams' dedication to operational excellence and environmental leadership as we continue serving communities throughout the United States and Canada. According to LinkedIn’s 2024 Global Green Skills Report, the demand for trained personnel in green-focused jobs is far outpacing supply, with demand in the U.S. increasing by 9.8 percent from 2023 to 2024, and supply increasing by only 3.1 percent. Efforts to address the “green skills gap” can begin in a number of ways — whether it’s job-specific training, apprenticeship programs or STEM programs and coursework in public schools and local universities. Community nonprofit partners, community colleges and the trades play a central role in training and development for certain clean energy jobs. Municipalities can accelerate community buy-in for building decarbonization initiatives by implementing a stakeholder review board with local housing authorities and nonprofit organizations, in which everyone participating can be part of the process and monitor progress. Learn more about how you can meet your decarbonization targets while creating job opportunities in sustainable construction and renovation in our Roadmap to Building Decarbonization: https://lnkd.in/enz4snQ7

Every year, our Alpena team is privileged to sponsor the "Big Tent" at the Michigan Brown Trout Festival to celebrate all of the vitality and fun that Lake Huron brings to this community. The Big Tent is the heart of the festival's gatherings and celebrations. It's a fantastic place for everyone to connect, trade fish stories and other tales, and enjoy the vibrant spirit of Alpena. We believe in supporting the events that make our communities special, and the Brown Trout Festival truly embodies the environmental security that binds this community to Lake Huron’s sustainability. We are deeply committed to our partnership providing water and wastewater treatment services to Alpena. Together, we work hard every day to protect the lake and this community's precious water resources.

It’s not every day we spot a wild animal visiting one of our wastewater treatment sites, but it does happen! In the case of this curious beaver and sleepy deer, they decided to strike a pose in parts of the treatment plants where the water has completed the key steps of the treatment process and is nearly ready to return to the local water environment. On this #WorldNatureConservationDay, we are reminded of the spaces we share with plants and animals, and of the responsibility we have to protect and preserve the vital biodiversity around the globe. At many of our sites, we work to reverse the impacts of industrial development on biodiversity through targeted projects that improve the habitats of plants and animals that share these spaces. Our goal is to proactively identify and implement solutions that support our surrounding ecosystems and assure plants and animals can thrive alongside us. Veolia congratulates the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the U.S. International Boundary and Water Commission (IBWC) on reaching a historic memorandum of understanding with their Mexican counterparts. We are hopeful that the agreements and actions set out in the memorandum will holistically address the cross-border sewage issue that has plagued San Diego County communities for years with beach closures, persistent odors and damage to sensitive environmental habitat. Veolia operates the South Bay Wastewater Treatment Plant on behalf of the U.S. government, which for years has treated more of Mexico’s sewage than any of Tijuana’s treatment plants. The memorandum details an aggressive plan to ultimately double the South Bay plant’s capacity to 50 million gallons per day by 2027. Veolia, like all community members, is pleased that Mexico has agreed to a series of engineering and construction projects south of the border that will reduce flows of raw sewage – the source of the persistent odors and beach closures – into the Tijuana River and Pacific Ocean by increasing the amount of sewage treated in Mexico.

Meet Eric Thornton, a U.S. Coast Guard veteran from Turlock, California, who recently passed the state’s wastewater certification exam after five months in our rotational internship program. Unlike traditional internships that stick to a single site, this program gives interns the chance to rotate through three Bay Area project sites – Discovery Bay, Novato and Lathrop. Each plant operates differently, so interns get to work with a variety of processes, tackle new challenges and build real-world operator skills that prepare them to jump into any team, anywhere with confidence. Eric, the third generation of successful wastewater professionals (his father and grandfather both served as operators for more than 30 years), is one of 70 new interns joining our Municipal Water Contract Operations in 2025. We’re proud to join him on his professional journey as he develops essential skills to be a successful wastewater plant operator.

We are happy to announce our acquisition of Chameleon Industries, a Texas-based producer of specialty chemicals. The company’s circular economy technology uses byproducts from the semiconductor manufacturing process in its proprietary applications, reduces waste and creates beneficial products for industry. This acquisition expands our environmental service offering, with critical manufacturing infrastructure located in the strategic growth markets of Texas, Oregon and Arizona. This is the latest step in our #GreenUp strategy that emphasizes depollution and management of hazardous waste. Learn more on our website: https://lnkd.in/eBRVk52R
